The Sony Ericsson Z550i is a 2006 model mobile phone. With this phone you may send MMS, or Multimedia Message Service. CNET reviews the Sony Ericsson Z550i and writes, “Sony Ericsson has taken a bet each way with the Z550i, offering a sprinkling of business features along with some basic lifestyle and entertainment offerings. For the corporate-minded, push email gets a look-in, as does a sync-able calendar and HTML browser. When you’re sick of all the work stuff, you can take snapshots with the 1.3-megapixel camera, play games and listen to music via the media player. The problem is that the phone isn’t really optimized for the features it offers–for example, you’d need to purchase a memory card to be able to store more than a handful of songs, and the screen is too small for anything more than a cursory glance at the Web.”
Good Gear Guide reviews the Sony Ericsson and writes, “Other features of the Z550i include an FM radio with RDS (Radio Data System), support for standard push email (POP3 and IMAP), SMS and MMS messaging (with T9 predictive text input), Bluetooth connectivity and full HTML browsing. The Z550i also includes a fairly standard media player for music and video and this supports both MP3 and AAC files. With just 25MB of on-board memory, Sony Ericsson has also included a M2 (Memory Stick 2) slot for extra storage, although there is surprisingly no M2 card in the sales package.”
The Z550 connects easily to a PC for fast transfer of multimedia files and synchronization with the phone book and calendar. TechTree reviews the Sony Ericsson Z550i and has this to say about it, “The phone has a speaker at the back and the default sound on opening the flip is kinda cute. The phone has a good finish; the dual color metallic finish is very appealing. On opening the phone you will notice the 5-way D-Pad and the clean keypad. The phone has a well spaced-out keypad, but not as friendly as that of the 6131. The keys are smaller because of the overall dimensions of the phone but it doesn’t pose a problem typing out messages. The phone only has a volume controller on the outside and you have to open the flip even to cancel a call. But you can turn off the ringer or the vibratory alert by just hitting the volume key. Double-clicking the volume key, cancels the call.”
Mobile-Review reviews the Sony Ericsson Z550i and writes, “Even though the device houses 40-chord polyphony, however it doesn’t differ a bit from the K750’s MP3 tunes sounding-wise. The Z550i proposes average sound volume with prevailing basses, so that the ring tones sound more penetrating. Nevertheless should you find yourself waiting for a call on a busy street, it’s not a big deal to not hear the tune and miss a call. The silent alarm is also average in terms of strength, thus sometimes it doesn’t generate enough of vibration to be felt. The receiving quality delivered by the handset is on a par with Sony Ericsson’s other devices.”

What can I say about this mobile phone well the design of its body is pretty cute because the bodyis not just made out of plastic but it is made up with a combination of metal and plastic and what i like about this mobile phoneis that it is a Flip top mobile phone and it only weighs 93G which is so easy to me to bring it wherever I go and it almost has all the features I want for my mobile phone.
