Sony Ericsson Z500aThe Sony Ericsson Z500a is a 2005 model mobile phone. LaptopMag reviews the Sony Ericsson Z500a and writes, “Sony Ericsson didn’t complement the Z500a’s camera with a decent display. At 1.9 inches and 128 x 160 pixels, the Z500a’s display is stingy in both size and resolution. As a result, it’s difficult to tell whether you’ve snapped a good photo. That’s a major drawback if you and your friends typically share photos between phones rather than sending them to PCs for viewing.”

PCmag reviews the Sony Ericsson Z500a and writes, “The disastrous keypad is a tragedy, because the phone performs moderately well otherwise. We got clear sound through the earpiece and microphone. The VGA camera takes very sharp photos, even if they do tend towards blue”. CNET reviews the and writes, “With a quick survey of the Sony Ericsson Z500a’s feature set, you’ll notice an entertainment and multimedia theme. Tackling the basics first, the mobile has a 510-name phone book (you can save an additional 250 contacts on your SIM card) with room in each entry for five numbers; Web, e-mail, and home addresses; and notes. In addition, you can assign each entry to a group, as well as associate them with a picture or any of 10 polyphonic (40-chord) ring tones for caller-ID purposes. Other goodies include a vibrate mode, a speakerphone, text and multimedia messaging, support for POP3 and IMAP4 e-mail and AOL instant messaging, a WAP 2.0 wireless Web browser, a calendar, an alarm clock, a stopwatch, tasks, and other organizer functions. Professionals will especially appreciate the EDGE support for faster data transfer, as well as the capability to make conference calls and send business card information via a text or multimedia message. However, users may be dismayed by the lack of Bluetooth and an infrared port.”

Mobiledia reviews the Sony Ericsson Z500a and writes, “The Sony Ericsson Z500a is a clean, compact device with fun features sure to keep users entertained. Externally, the Z500a contains an external 4096 color STN screen allowing users to conveniently view time, caller information, network status, and battery levels.”
