Sony Ericsson W710iThe Sony Ericsson W710i is a 2006 model mobile phone. Mobile Gazette reviews the Sony Ericsson W710i and writes , “512Mb of memory is included in the box, and this is expandable up to 1Gb. There’s a 3.5mm socket for attaching headphones, but surprisingly the W710i doesn’t come with stereo Bluetooth support. The W710i also comes with the familiar Walkman music player, an email client, web browser, RSS reader and email client.”

CNET reviews the and writes, “Of course music is the main attraction on the W710i. Its Walkman player is near identical to that on other Walkman phones (see the Sony Ericsson W810i for a full report), except that it doesn’t offer Sony’s Mega Bass. Also, as on previous models, you must use the included USB cable and the company’s Disc2Phone software to load music onto the handset. Internal memory is capped at 10MB, so it’s advised you use the included 512MB Memory Stick Micro card. You also get the FM radio that is near standard on Walkman phones and a Music ID application for identifying likeable tunes you can’t name. There’s also a quirky Music Mate application that shows the correct finger position for various guitar chords and piano chords while playing the notes. You can even use the phone as a metronome.”

Mobile-Review reviews the Sony Ericsson W710i and has this to say about camera “The device supports three possible resolutions - 1632×1224, 640×480, 160×120 pixels. Two types of data compression, Normal and Fine, are at your disposal. The majority of the photos represented are in the Fine quality. The photos differ in size almost two times depending on the resolution. Thus a photo in the Normal mode takes about 300 KB when the Fine quality gives 500-600 KB. Saving the photo takes the same time not depending on the case, that is about 1-2 seconds, and that is quite well for such a file size. If to take several photos one after another (not a Burst mode but just successively) then you’ll notice slightly slowing writing speed (to 3-4 seconds). According to subjective feelings the device buffer is expected for 2 MB of memory.”

Engadget Mobile reviews the Sony Ericsson W710i and writes, “We found the large monochrome external display to be surprisingly pleasing, to the point where we think we’d take it over most any color one. Why? At the end of the day, a clamshell’s outer screen should be all about presenting key information quickly and efficiently; if you need more, you can always flip ‘er open. With 128 x 128 pixels at its disposal, not only are we getting virtually everything we need on the Z710i without opening it, but we found it far more readable in typical outdoor conditions.”

Mobile Phones UK reviews the Sony Ericsson W710i and writes about features, “The phone handles EDGE connections for fast internet access and has a full screen web browser, so you can realistically use the phone for mobile web access, although obviously this isn’t going to be as easy as browsing the web from a PC. The phone handles MP3 and AAC format ringtones, and has Sony Ericsson’s PlayNow facility for downloading new ringtones. There’s also a polyphonic ringtone composer if you want to try your hand at making your own MIDI ringtones. The phone is quadband for worldwide use, and frequent travellers can make use of flight mode (offline mode). The Z710i is equipped with a full range of personal organiser functions (notes, tasks, alarm clock, business card exchange, calendar, calculator, file manager) and a voice recorder.”
