Sony Ericsson W300iThe Sony Ericsson W300i is a 2006 model mobile phone. CNET reviews the Sony Ericsson W300i and writes about features, “A sound recorder, video recorder and audio/video “DJ” software — which allow you to compose your own tunes, edit video files and enhance pictures with borders and colour adjustments — give you the option to meddle with your multimedia. If you prefer a more passive approach, there’s an FM radio to kick out the jams as well.”

Mobile-Review reviews the Sony Ericsson W300i and has this to say about the browser, “NetFront browser is applied as a standard in phones by Sony Ericsson, it supports viewing pages in one strip (automatic formatting for the mobile device), viewing html pages. Other convenient things are creation of folders for files and bookmarks. The browser is one of the best, but the limited resources of the phone do not make it easy to use. For those who use the Internet constantly it is better to think about Pocket PC or laptop, it is not so interesting on such class of the devices. At the same time the support of RSS Feeds is interesting, it allows using the phone for reading news or announcements. Russian encodings are still a headache, the built-in browser works extremely badly with them.”

MobileTechReview.com reviews the Sony Ericsson W300i and writes, “The Sony Ericsson comes with a basic suite of PIM apps including Contacts, Calendar, Notes and Tasks. The Contacts database can store 1000 contacts on the phone, and each contacts can have five numbers, multiple email addresses, URLs, business and home street address, notes and birthday. You can also associate a contact entry with a picture for caller ID and a unique ringtone. That’s a very capable Contacts app for a feature phone that’s not targeted at business users. The Calendar, Notes and Tasks applications along with several other utility apps live in the Organizer folder. Calendar has monthly view, weekly view and appointment view. You can sync the data from the Contacts, Calendar and your notes and tasks to your desktop via PC Suite using the included USB cable. You can also sync via Bluetooth or IR, but USB 2.0 syncing is the speediest. In addition to the PIM apps, you will also get a File Manager application.”

InfoSync reviews the Sony Ericsson W300i and writes about messaging, “the keypad of the W300i offers large and comfortable keys and there’s absolutely no sign of lag during input. what’s more, SMS and MMS messages are easily created wherever necessary, and the handset can archive a good number of them - although not into folders. Further on a positive note, the ability to see which messages have been replied to is a plus, but with only 70-odd characters on screen and no ability to back up contacts heavy texters might not be too impressed. ”

Mobile Gazette reviews the Sony Ericsson W300i and writes, “One drawback with the Sony Ericsson W300i is the lack of external media controls. Also, inside the dedicated controls are pretty minimal, so despite all the snazzy “Walkman” branding, the W300i doesn’t look to be as well laid out as the Samsung E770, for example.”
