Samsung SGH-ZX20The Samsung SGH-ZX20 is one of the few phones that work on Cingular’s high-speed HSDPA network. CNET reviews the Samsung SGH-ZX20 and writes, “The Samsung SGH-ZX20’s phone book holds a hefty 1,000 contacts, while the SIM card holds an additional 250 names. Each entry holds five phone numbers, two e-mail addresses, a Web address, a birthday, a job title and company, a nickname, and notes. You can organize callers into groups and pair them with one of 5 polyphonic (64-chord) or 10 MP3 ring tones. You can also assign photos to a contact, but as previously mentioned, they won’t appear on the external display. Other features include a vibrate mode, text and multimedia messaging, an alarm clock, a daily and weekly calendar with an event scheduler and a task list, a calculator, a unit converter, a world clock, and a speakerphone. Instant messaging is on board as well with options for AOL, MSN, Yahoo, and ICQ, and in an improvement over the Samsung SGH-ZX10, there’s full Bluetooth 2.0.”

MobileBurn writes about Samsung SGH-ZX20, “The Samsung SGH-ZX20 is a quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz) device, and also supports WCDMA 3G services over the 850 and 1900MHz bands. With a maximum downstream data rate of 1.8Mbps over HSDPA, the Samsung SGH-ZX20 features a swiveling 1.3 megapixel camera with flash and a generous 40MB of on board memory, in addition to a microSD memory expansion slot, for storing all your files. Speakerphone functionality is included, and a full music player and streaming video support round out the Samsung SGH-ZX20’s specification sheet.”

PCmag reviews the Samsung SGH-ZX20 and writes, “The phone’s four hours of talk time is short for a Cingular phone, but it’s on a par with many Sprint and Verizon devices. Bluetooth connectivity with PCs was a little buggy too, but if you can get it to work, you’ll be happy with the feature set here. It took me two or three tries to get file transfers to go through (with lots of “transfer aborted” messages), but the zx20 lets you send and receive photos to and from your PC, and you can also use the phone as a modem for PCs or Macs.”
