Nokia 3100The Nokia 3100 is a 2003 model mobile phone. The 3100 stores up to 300 contacts in shared (the SIM card and the phone’s internal capacity) memory. CNET reviews the Nokia 3100 and has this to say about design, “The 3100 sports a slimmed-down design; it resembles other Nokia phones after going on the Atkins diet. At 1.69 by 4 by 0.6 inches and weighing 3 ounces, it won’t appear too bulky in a front shirt pocket. The power button located on top of the handset is easier to press than the ones typically found on other Nokia mobiles, which is a plus. Our model came with a blue case, but you can choose from several Xpress-on cover plates, including a pair of luminescent “gaming” faces with an eight-way navigation key and blinking light effects. It’s not exactly something you’d want to whip out during a business meeting, but younger users may appreciate it.”

Pocket-lint.co.uk reviews the Nokia 3100 and writes, “The small, colour screen displays a modest 4096 colours. MMS can be sent and received and there are 8 lines of text when typing SMS. The phone plays polyphonic ringtones and Java games and has WAP for downloading both. It comes preloaded with 30 ringtones, 3 Java enabled games and 3 animated screensavers.”

The Nokia 3100 does not come with an MP3 player. This phone comes with built in polyphonic ringtones. Mobile-Review review the Nokia 3100 and writes, “This phone has 850 mAh lithium-ionic battery. According to the manufacturer it is capable to provide up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 410 hours of standby time. In reality the device operated 3.5-4 days in case of 60 minutes of talking and up to 25 minutes of using other functions. Time of full re-charging makes about 2 hours.”

iMobile reviews the Nokia 3100 and writes about messaging, “SMS and MMS messages can both be quickly written by taking advantage of T9 - predictive text input. Still pressing a key more than once just for one letter? You’re living in the past buddy! T9 removes the hassle of pressing a single key several times for one single letter. Press the key that you want once, and move onto the next key for the next letter. When you’ve finished your word, the phone will take charge and decide on a list of words that match the selection of letters. If you type in something and you don’t get the right word, just press the ‘*’ button until you find your word. If you don’t find you word, press “Spell” and multi-tap the word in. This word is then added to the dictionary and will stay there indefinitely. ”

Banjaxed reviews the Nokia 3100 and writes, “A downside of this phone is that it doesn’t have a built in camera, however it is compatible with the Nokia Fun Camera, which will take photos that can be viewed on the handset. Unfortunately this phone doesn’t have BlueTooth or infared. However, it does have a speakerphone capability that is clear and allows conference calling for up to five participants. The rubber, backlit keypad buttons are small but more manageable than some of Nokia’s previous handsets.”
