The Nokia 1100 is a 2003 model mobile phone which is compatible with European providers only. It operates on the frequencies of GSM 900 GSM 1800. Mobile-review reviews the Nokia 1100 and writes, “The phone is not big (106×46x20 mm), but it doesn’t sink in your hands either. You can actually feel its weight, although it’s just 86 grams. Whenever I was trying to measure the phone I got a strange feeling that it’s weight is not located proportionally. The lower part is much lighter than the upper one where the display is located. By the way, it’s the feeling of weight that proves this model being made for senior citizens. Researches show that senior citizens prefer “feeling” the object, so it has to be more heavier than light, which obviously associates with a sensation of solidness and reliability.”
PCmag reviews the Nokia 1100 and writes, “Simple phones like this are all about voice quality, and the 1100’s is strong. Reception is very good on the Cingular/Net10 network (read on for more information on Net10), and voices come through loud and very clear. I heard a touch of background hiss, but no more than I hear on many phones. I got more than 10 hours of talk time before running out of prepaid minutes. Based on that, this phone should last a week or more on standby.”
The Nokia 1100 is not equipped with a camera or a video recording function.
Banjaxed reviews the Nokia 1100 and writes,”Without functions such as a GPS, digital imaging device, or MP3 support, it’s true that the Nokia 1100 will never be the life of the party, but it does offer the most important features of a mobile phone. These features are found in a time-tested design that utilizes Nokia’s expertise.”
