LG U8110 Review

LG U8110The LG U8110 is a 2004 model mobile phone. The handset comes with built in polyphonic ringtones. Pocket-lint reviews the LG U8110 and writes, “With a 2xdigital zoom, and a light, we caught some pretty stills and movies. Remember though, full functionality goes with network and to send an MMS video, MP4, means a far shorter capture than the phone can provide, but watch out for the memory and battery drain. With 14MB of space available on the phone it does match up even to the disappointing Sony Ericsson K700, and there’s not much room for collecting downloads and no removable memory card.”

Canadian Content reviews the LG U8110 and notes, “The LG U8110 is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. With this phone, you may also send MMS, or Multimedia Message Service.”

Mobile Phones UK reviews the LG U8110 and writes, “Functionally, the phone has a very similar spec to the other 3G phones currently available. This includes features like an MP3 player, voice recorder, Java applications, e-mail and MMS. The only features missing are Bluetooth wireless connectivity and the advanced GPS (Global Positioning System) features available in the NEC e616 for example. It does have both infrared and USB connections though, which are a welcome addition. The phone’s memory is 14 Mbytes, which is low for a 3G phone, and insufficient to make good use of features like video recording and the MP3 player.”

CNET reviews the LG U8110 and has this to say about features, “Multimedia functionality includes a video and audio player, image viewer, and capture modes for video, stills and voice. The LG U8110 supports a range of sizes for still shots up to a maximum resolution of 640 x480 pixels (VGA). Photos and videos we took while testing the handset turned out reasonably well for a camera phone. While the audio player on the U8110 can handle MP3 songs, low storage capacity is a limiting factor.” Mobique reviews the LG U8110 and writes, ” The U8110 certainly had quite a bit to offer in this department. Its rotatable VGA camera is a first for any “3” clamshell-based handset (all the NEC models were capable of CIF sized images only) – which is able to handle up to five different image sizes, and three quality settings for each of these. Furthermore, there’s a 2X digital zoom, built-in flashlight feature, and four different “camera effects” (including the “night mode” feature) available for choosing to enhance a picture being taken.”
