LG Muziq Review

LG MuziqLaptopmag reviews the LG Muziq and has this to say about it, “The LG Muziq, the successor to the popular Fusic, improves on many of its predecessor’s missed notes and adds a number of innovations, such as multitasking, a GPS navigation application, and a microSD slot that’s compatible with new high-capacity 4GB cards, which gives the Muziq as much capacity as the iPhone, but for a fraction of the price. It also holds onto the features that made the Fusic stand out, such as the ability to transmit music to an FM radio, beam MP3s to a stereo Bluetooth headset or speaker system, and take advantage of Sprint’s TV services. But despite these improvements, the Muziq, which will be available from Sprint on July 15th for $99 with a two-year contract, still feels like a cell phone with a music player stuck on”

InfoSync World reviews the LG Muziq and writes, “Like the Fusic, the Muziq is loaded with great music features, some of them unique to this phone. For listening, you have a choice of the included 3.5mm headphone adapter cord for using your own cans, stereo Bluetooth or the FM transmitter. We were quite skeptical of this last option, as FM transmitters have always given us trouble, but we found the transmitter on the Muziq to be among the most powerful we’ve tested. With less difiiculty than we expected, we managed to lock in a channel in our car in New York City, no easy feat. And though Sprint claims a range of 8 to 10 feet, we got reception on our Bose Wave radio from 20 feet away, easily. The stereo Bluetooth could learn something from the FM transmitter, as reception was spotty paired with our Motorola S9 headset, and cut out frequently, multiple times per song verse. ”

CNET reviews the LG Muziq and writes about features, “The LG Muziq has a pretty impressive feature set to go along with its stylish good looks. But before we address its multimedia capabilities, we’ll start off with the basics. The LG Muziq’s phone book stores around 500 contacts, which is a little skimpy for a phone like this. Each entry has room for five phone numbers, e-mail and Web addresses, and a memo. You can save callers to groups or pair them with a photo or any of 31 polyphonic ringtones. Other essentials include text and multimedia messaging, a vibrate mode, an alarm clock, a calculator, a scheduler, a notepad, and a world clock. There are also a number of higher-end features including a wireless Web browser, voice memo recording, voice commands and dialing, mass USB storage, e-mail, instant messaging, a speakerphone, stereo Bluetooth, a memory card manager, EV-DO support, and a music composer so you can create your own ringtones. The LG Muziq is also Sprint’s first phone that allows use of a 4GB microSD card, which is great for storing music and image files.”

Slashphone reviews the LG Muziq and writes, “A 0.61-inch thick clamshell with bright 128 x 160 pixel external TFT and touch-sensitive music controls with vibration-feedback, the MUZIQ boasts access to the Sprint Music Store via the carrier’s high-speed mobile broadband. That means a choice of over 1.6 million songs, each of which can be downloaded direct to the handset in as little as 30 seconds. A rather miserly 64MB MicroSD card is provided (although the MUZIQ supports up to 4GB cards), although if you’re short of space you can always listen to the streaming Sprint Radio, Pandora, SIRIUS, VH1 and MTV options for a continuous supply of fresh music”.
