The BenQ S80 is a 2005 model mobile phone. PCmag reviews the BenQ S80 and writes, ‘The S80 improves over the S70 several ways. It boosts the sensor to 8.0 megapixels from 7.1, while also improving video features considerably. You can shoot at 30 frames per second instead of 10 and save until you fill the memory card, giving you much smoother, longer clips. And where the S70 has only a 1.8-inch LCD, the S80 has a beautiful 2.5-inch screen. The larger display makes images viewed on the camera look simply stunning. Canon also kept the glass viewfinder—a feature many manufacturers seem to be eliminating.”
The handset comes comes with built in polyphonic ringtones and MP3 player. CanadianContent reviews the BenQ S80 and writes, “The BenQ S80 is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. With this phone, you may also send MMS, or Multimedia Message Service. The phone is also able to use EMS, or Enhanced Message Service.”
MobileMag writes about BenQ S80 and notes, “The S80 is not destined to be limited to the South Asian countries only as it has already been approved by several European Mobile Operators. However, acceptance of a fully Taiwanese phone remains to be seen. Furthermore, since the phone has just been launched, customer feedback has yet to make its way to the market. Needless to say, BenQ is going to market the S80 vigorously in all accepted markets in order to build both the company image as well as the revenues. ”
Mobile88 reviews the BenQ S80 and writes, “Encapsulated in an elegant and sleek exterior, the award-winning S80 is BenQ’s first entry into the domain of 3G phones. With 3G connectivity, the S80 enables users to access online content wherever they may be. The S80 supports video streaming, video clip downloads, and MMS. With QCIF video streaming, the S80 allows streaming at 15 frames per second, providing smooth video for news broadcasts or movie trailers.”
