The call quality is excellent. This phone also has enough memory to store the details of 10 dialled calls, 10 received calls and 10 missed calls. This mobile phone supports 16 channel polyphonic ring tones and these polyphonic ring tones can be in MIDI or SP-MIDI formats. In addition, you can also find a few pre-installed games which provide lots of fun for the users.

The message utility does not provide EMS support, and all the SMS are stored in the SIM. You can send group messages to your friends and add new words using the T9 dictionary.

This phone uses Li-Ion standard battery that has a capacity of 650 mAh and the battery can support a talk time for more than 6 hours and a stand by time up to 250 hours.

Limitations:

Alcatel OT E157 is a low-end or entry level model with minimum functions so you cannot expect the sophisticated features in this model. Another draw-back with this phone is the absence of a search engine in the phone book and the reception quality is somewhat poor.
